Guidelines to make the most of swim practice.


All practices are held at Rubidoux High School's pool.

Swimmers should have eaten and kept hydrated throughout the day to avoid fatigue and cramping. 

Please make sure swimmers are on time and have everything they need for practice:

  • Swim suit
  • Goggles
  • Swim cap (optional)
  • Towel
  • Water (during work out)
  • Energy drink (after workout to replace electrolytes)
  • Snack (after workout)

Remember to eat and drink only in designated areas.  Only water is allowed on the pool deck and bleachers.

Other items swimmers may need at the coaches direction:

  • Pull buoy
  • Paddle board
  • Hand paddles
  • Swim fins

If dropping off a swimmer, please arrive 5-10 minutes before the end of practice to assure no stranded swimmers waiting alone for a ride.

Practices last approximately 2 hours.
